What landscaping actually costs in Montgomery County.

Most companies will not put a number on a page. Here are the ranges our own customers paid this season, taken from real invoices, so you can tell before you call whether we are in your budget.

April to September 2026, Gaithersburg and the rest of Montgomery County. “Most paid” is the middle half of the jobs: a quarter came in under that range and a quarter above, because no two properties are the same.

Lawn mowing, on a schedule

Seasonal cleanups

Leaves, beds, debris and haul-away. Price follows how much comes off the property and how hard it is to get a truck near it.

Mulch & landscape beds

Edging, weeding and fresh mulch. Mulch itself runs from $150 per cubic yard installed; the range depends on how many cubic yards the beds take.

Bigger jobs

Priced on site, not on a page

Tree work and hardscaping are not something anyone can quote honestly from a photo. We come out, measure, check access and safety, and write you a real price. That visit is $35 and it comes straight off your invoice if you hire us. If we cannot make it out to you, we refund it.

  • Tree trimming, tree removal and stump grinding — the price turns on the size, the lean, and what is underneath the tree.
  • Patios, walkways and retaining walls — measured on site, quoted per option, so you can choose.
  • Anything on a slope, behind a gate, or with no truck access.
Why two quotes differ

What moves the price

Two lawns on the same street can be quoted differently. These are the four things that actually change the number.

How big it is

The single biggest factor. A quarter-acre lot and a one-acre lot are not the same afternoon.

How we get in

A gate we cannot fit the mower through, a steep bank, or a long carry to the truck all add time.

What shape it is in

Grass that has not been cut in six weeks is a different job from one on a schedule. First visits often cost more than the ones after.

How often we come

On a weekly or biweekly schedule, each visit costs less than calling us once. That is why the recurring number above is the lowest on this page.

How much does lawn mowing cost in Gaithersburg, MD?

Why will you not just give me a price over the phone?
We will give you a range over the phone, and this page is that range. But a firm number needs eyes on the property. A quote given blind is either padded to cover the worst case or it changes on you halfway through the job, and neither is a good way to start.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. You get a written price for the job before we start, and that is what you pay. If we find something we did not expect, we stop and talk to you first.
Is there a minimum?
Our smallest recurring visit is $35. For one-time work, it is worth a call either way: if the job is too small to be worth a trip we will tell you honestly instead of quoting you a number that does not make sense.
How do I pay?
Cash, Zelle or check. You get a written invoice for every job, and nothing is due until the work is done.
